Can Symbiotic Massage Therapy Help with Minor Skeletal Issues?
Yes! More than one of the modalities in Symbiotic massage uses body movements that allow misalignments to correct themselves while muscle pain and stiffness are relieved and normal lymphatic flow is restored.
Does the Practitioner Tire with so much Accomplished Through this Modality?
No. Symbiotic massage allows the practitioner to work without discomfort of fatigue to his/her own body or hands. Rocking, transfer of weight, gentle stretches, skillful use of knuckles and hands, plus a particular combination of Yoga/Gymnastics/Dance which is one of the primary components to the success of Symbiotic Therapy, all help produce painless healing to the client and very little stress for the Practitioner.
Does this Treatment Help the Whole body or Just Certain Parts?
Relief of neuromuscular tension throughout the client's body, especially in the neck, shoulders, lower back and pelvis, is accomplished during this full-body treatment. This modality of massage/bodywork called Symbiotic Massage Therapy (a registered trademark) has developed over twenty years of practice and with analyses of almost three dozen modalities. This is an Integrative Whole-body Massage that is largely as beneficial and painless to the Practitioner as it is to the client! Specialized hand techniques, along with efficient body mechanics, from the feet up, allow the practitioner to work more effectively and efficiently! This is no small task to have accomplished and is the primary reason this Modality is so successful at ensuring the client receives a complete and healing massage.
Is receiving this massage any different from other massages?
You may truthfully find it much better! However, all the traditional elements will still apply. The treatment begins with the client lying comfortably face down, warmly covered with flawlessly clean sheets, a soft blanket, face in a clean and comfortable face cradle, with support under the ankles for complete support.
There is also the traditional use of sound mediums and atmospheric ingredients to effectively lower heart-rate and begin a more relaxed mental and emotional release state. The temperature is adjusted for the optimum comfort of the client. Depending on the level of discomfort the client/patient has on entering the use of a Steam Area, Hot Tub, or Warmed Stones may begin the process to as fully prepare the body for receiving healing as is possible!
The work begins at the feet because Lines of Energy begin there, but travel throughout the entire body. Some Reflexology may be employed here if required by the client but is a consistent and mildly increasing effect rather than anything dramatic. When the legs are finished, warm towels are placed on the feet.
The legs, arms, and then the back receive thoughtful and meaningful massage with the use of over 10 Modalities here alone! The client will then roll over onto the back. The work begins again, at the feet. After feet, legs, and arms are massaged, a warm towel-covered chest allows the abdomen and rib areas to comfortably react to Lymphatic Drainage Massage.
Shoulders, neck, face, and scalp receive unique and specialized treatments as well. Energy work, including Polarity, follows and the client receives another mild Lymphatic Treatment before a combination of Trager techniques lead the client back onto the stomach for the final back massage.
This is when both client and practitioner will realize how much comfort has been accomplished during the hour and fifteen or hour and a half of massage/bodywork.
Finally, the feet and hands are washed with a clean towel and patented solution for a completely refreshed and invigorated feeling and the face is gently cleaned with a warm washcloth before allowing the client to rest on the table for a few minutes while wakening from the relaxed mental state a truly effective Massage will accomplish.
A moderate sized glass of water with a hint of specific organic ingredients refreshes the palette and returns the client to a state of fully relaxed awake-ness.
